  • The resistance bands are probably equal to about half to sixty percent of free weights. So 210 lbs. of resistance is probably closer to 100 – 120 pounds.
  • Thus, almost everyone will need to shell out 100 bucks for another set of 50s to get to 310 (150 – 160 real pounds).
  • Big guys who want to bulk will likely max out. I’m getting close to maxing out on my bench press myself.

Bowflex Max Trainer Review: I’ve owned the Bowflex Max Trainer for a little over a month now. The advertising says a full workout in 14 minutes, at the beginning I couldn’t get to 14 minutes! This is a tough workout.


If you are still undecided in which of these Bowflex Machines is the best for you to add to your home gym, you have to think about what you want out of them.

But, if you are looking for the total all-in-one Bowflex machine, I would go for the Bowflex Xtreme 2SE Home Gym.
