Spread the love

Nordictrack T Series 6.5 SI Treadmill Reviews – You’ve probably been seeing a lot commercials lately about NordicTrack Treadmills because it’s always time to get into shape. Also, when was the last time any of us have been able to get to the gym?

My Question About the Nordictrack T Series Treadmills is: does it work as advertised? The answer might surprise you.

Read on to discover the good, the bad and the ugly as we take a close look at NordicTrack T Series Treadmills…

How long does a NordicTrack Treadmill last?

NordicTrack has an excellent reputation for building quality treadmills. These are not your mass merchant specials with 90 day parts and labor warranties.

NordicTrack offers a lifetime warranty on their treadmills, which says something about their durability.

NordicTrack has been selling treadmills for several years. Their focus is to build sturdy treadmills with the best components available. The result is machines that are built to last and are capable of taking a beating.

How much does a NordicTrack T Series Treadmill Cost?

Of course, that comes at a price. Their least expensive treadmill starts at $1,000, and their commercial grade models top off at $3,500. Lets just say, you dont want these treadmills to end up as clothes racks.

So what do you get for your money?

Which is the best Nordic track treadmill to buy?

The NordicTrack T series utilizes the best components available for treadmills. For example, they equip their machines with a 3.0 + CHP SMART-Response Motor. (Depending on the model).

This motor is a monster in comparison to most treadmill motors.

SURPRISING REVIEW OF THE NORDICTRACK T SERIES TREADMILL

There are a number of companies that claim their treadmills have 3.0 hp motors, but if you were to compare them to the 3.0 CHP SMART-Response Motor there would be a noticeable difference in the size.

The Nordictrack T Series Treadmill’s powerful motor assures that the treadmill will run at even the highest speeds without straining.

NordicTrack uses a 2-ply treadbelt, the majority of competitors use 1-ply. Although costing significantly more, this 2-ply belt provides twice the strength of the low grade 1-ply belt. It also adds additional cushioning to reduce impact.

Another quality component that NordicTrack installs are 1.9” Precision and Balanced Non-Flex Rollers. These are the same rollers used in the best commercial treadmills.

The larger the roller diameter the less tension required on the treadbelt, since the roller has more surface area to grab the belt.

Decreased tension means decreased friction and longer life on belts, motor, bearings, and the rollers themselves.

As you can see these treadmills are built to commercial standards, NordicTrack has over 20,000 treadmills placed in health clubs around the world.

What I Love About The NordicTrack T 6.5 Si Treadmill

The Surface

SURPRISING REVIEW OF THE NORDICTRACK T SERIES TREADMILL

First off, the reason for purchasing a treadmill is for running, and with the NordicTrack T 6.5 Si FlexSelect deck, it offers a soft and cushioned run that type of runner will enjoy.

But, with the FlexSelect that comes standard with the T series treadmills is the ability to change from a soft cushioned run like running on grass, to a stiffer surface like a sidewalk run in no time.

Plus, the running surface of the T 6.5 Si treadmill compliments the Flexselect system with it’s 22″ x 55″ Tread Belt running surface that can be pushed up to 10 mph and inclines up to 10%. These are important features that any runner looking for a treadmill would want.

The Display

SURPRISING REVIEW OF THE NORDICTRACK T SERIES TREADMILL

The display console is a nice added touch to the NordicTrack T 6.5 Si Treadmill. Sure the NordicTrack t6.5s is a great get on and run treadmill, but what if you want some variety in your cardio training?

The NordicTrack t 6.5 si treadmill has 20 programmed workouts, that some treadmills at this price point don’t have.

Like with most pre-programmed workouts you would see on commercial treadmills at the gym, the programs are built for whatever the runners’ goals are.

Looking for a program that will help keep your heart rate in the fat-burning zone? The NordicTrack t 6.5 s treadmill has you covered. Looking for an intense cardio burning workout? The NordicTrack t 6.5 s has you covered as well.

Also, another great feature the NordicTrack T series offers is the compatibility with iFit. With iFit you get the ability to have your very own personal trainer right in your home gym or living room.

Not only do you have the virtual personal trainer, but access to a library of workouts, and health tracker applications that many other treadmills with display consoles can’t compete with the T 6.5 Si Treadmill or any of the T series models.

What's the difference in the Nordictrack T- Series models?

All of the T-series models come with the standard FlexSelect cushioning, and the 1-year iFit membership included, what separates each one is the extra features that come along with each model.

What I do like about The Nordicktrack T-series Treadmill:

  • The commercial-grade motors to the T series rival the more expensive treadmill brands out there.
  • The T series treadmill consoles include high definition touchscreens up to 10 inches wide, smartphone-compatible sound systems, and iFit readiness. Plus the higher T series models consoles also have self-adjusting fans and water bottle holders.
  • I like the NordicTrack iFit® which is a virtual gym membership you can enjoy in the comfort of your home or office. You receive world-class training and access to a fitness community for maximum results. Aside from optimizing your workouts, iFit even offers nutrition and sleep advice tailored for your individual needs.
  • The Incline training on the NordicTrack T series works. For me, I feel like it helps boost my metabolism and tones my leg muscles quite well, plus its great cardio which helps your heart. And that’s a good thing.

What I didn’t like about The Nordicktrack T-series Treadmill:

  • The assembly was tough to figure out for me, but I was able to hire a tradesperson that specializes in fitness equipment to assemble the NordicTrack T Serries properly. It only cost me $25.00 to have someone assemble it for me, but at least that eases my mind while running that it won’t fall apart because of my stupidity.

Summary

NordicTrack has a great reputation in the treadmill industry.

I highly recommend the treadmills from each series, from the desks and simpler C Series models to the Incline Trainers and our My NordicTrack Treadmill Pick, the T 9.5 S Treadmill.

The T series has a wide variety of price points, physical features, and programming from NordicTrack that means most shoppers can find a great match at the price they want.
