Spread the love

When you pack, do have certain travel essentials for emergencies that you never leave home without? When it comes to smart travel, being prepared for the unexpected and leaving nothing to chance makes for a stress-free vacation.

I am a travel junkie and have had many trips in the past where I wasn’t prepared properly in my planning, and I paid for it later.

Travel Experiences like eating questionable street food in Thailand, that left my stomach in pure disaster, that I prayed to any god to end my misery.

Or, having a massive hangover and standing with cold sweats in a foreign pharmacy not being able to figure out where the Tylenol is.

That’s why I believe that every traveler should pack for the unexpected regardless of a positive your mindset is when packing for your next vacation.

The best way to pack for a holiday is to be armed with the best possible travel accessories that you can rely upon in case stuff happens.

While I understand that with travel today travelers are trying to pack as light as possible to avoid baggage fees, but traveling with these 15 Travel Essentials For Emergencies in your carry-on will help you avoid any unforeseen situations with ease.

Do you know what to pack for travel emergencies? … Here’s a roundup of what I think every travel should pack for his/her travel essentials kit.

There is nothing like playing Angry Birds on your smartphone for a 10-hour flight only to find out that when you land and try to get an Uber or use a translator app to communicate that your smartphone is drained.

While many of us before we travel try to charge up our electronic devices to ensure we have enough juice to survive the journey to where ever you are traveling to, but never leave that to chance.

That why I pack my Belkin Pocket Power 10K Power Bank as one of my travel essentials.

This device is ideal for smartphones, smartwatches, fitness bands, headphones, speakers, action cameras, small drones, and Bluetooth-enabled devices, this portable charger offers two universal USB-A ports that deliver 2.4 amp total output for fast, efficient charging.

Surviveware Biodegradable Large Wet Wipes

Body wipes are always part of my travel essentials.

Why? Have you ever been delayed at an airport for 12 hours, only to end up on a red-eye flight to your final destination and immediately have to head to a business meeting with no time to freshen up

Or, if you took a major tumble on the streets of Bangcock, and scraped your leg quite badly, and don’t trust the water to clean the wound

Both of these situations have happened to me in the past, and now that I pack Surviveware Biodegradable Large Wet Wipes with me, I know I will be able to stay fresh and clean in any circumstance when there is no shower around.

Plus with these Wet Wipes, they are unscented, so you’ll be able to clean yourself from head to toe without smelling like a daffodil. The goal is removing grime and odors, not drowning in cheap perfume.

Ultra Lightweight Daypack

I love adding a packable backpack into my travel essentials emergency kit. Why because they have a foldable size that is compact enough to toss in a carry-on with ease.

They are often extremely light backpacks with limited outside pockets, and limited padding around the shoulders for carrying, but has a large enough main compartment that can fit groceries for a picnic on the beach.

I love my ZOMAKE Waterproof Ultra Lightweight Packable Backpack because it’s comfortable, light, and can hold quite a bit of stuff – water bottles, change of clothing, camera, food/snacks, shopping purchases, etc.

Oregano Essential Oil

When it comes to essential oils, I don’t know which ones work and which ones are placeboes.

Sure I pack in my travel essentials kit a bottle of multi-vitamins for times when I am eating fast food throughout my vacation.

Plus, I pack Emergency C tablets to help keep my vitamin C levels where I need them to be during my vacation.

But there is one essential oil I pack with me and that is Oregano oil.

Why? According to the Alive.com, Oregano oil is considered safe to help conditions like sore throats, indigestion, colitis, nausea, and viral and bacterial infections. It is a miracle worker if used properly.

While some people out there a skeptical about essential oils and studies are always changing in regards to the benefits of essential oils, but I know that carrying a small bottle of oregano oil has helped me many times during my travels.

Especially when I need to clean a fresh new wound for another bad tumble while vacationing.

Sun protection (glasses, sunscreen, hat)

There is nothing like having a sunburn so bad that when cold air hits the skin it hurts. There have been several trips in which I neglected packing sun protection, and has ruined several vacations.

When I say sun protection, it isn’t just a bottle of sunscreen, it also includes sunglasses and a hat.

For sunscreen, I use Sun Bum Original SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion, which is Broad-spectrum sunscreen that protects your skin from both UVA and UVB rays.

These rays are responsible for premature skin aging. They can cause sunburn and play a role in the development of skin cancer. All Sun Bum Original sunscreens are broad-spectrum to help prevent skin damage.

Conclusion

So there you have it, my top 15 travel essentials I pack for emergencies when I head out on a trip. All of these products I use myself, and they have saved many vacations because they were there at the right time and the right place.

While this is just a small sample of what every traveler should pack in case of emergencies, but if you are prepared, it makes traveling so much better.
